My opinion is that you should go to see a lawyer anyway. Most of the times, when a person goes to a lawyer, the first thing they say is "I don't have much money". Lawyers hear this every day. They work with that. They will make arrangements for you to pay them AFTER everything is all settled. It might surprise you as to what it costs. A lot of times it's much cheaper than you think. The lawyer will look for everything he can to get you what you deserve. Just go to a lawyer ans ask. Most of them never charge for a consultation so it won't cost you to ask.
