Opinion about the British Monarchy?

Charles and Camilla were engaged in a very long running affair before Diana came into the picture. Camilla would not at the time be acceptable as a mother to Charles' children and was unable to enter the royal family because of divorce status. It was only possible by permission of the queen after the demise of the mother of the children. It is still not entirely viewed as acceptable but is tolerated by the Queen and the populace because they had compassion on Charles and felt all things considered, perhaps they should have what they've wanted all along. I feel that once Elizabeth goes, Charles will abdicate and pass his kingship over to his son William simply because he just wants to live out his life quietly with Camilla.
